System Archtechture and Integration
The PixMover™ Platform is a unified solution, leveraging a dedicated hardware appliance as the high-performance engine. The core software runs on this appliance, providing an optimized environment with its intuitive interface for workflow orchestration. For cloud-centric workflows, the PixMover Platform can be deployed directly within a cloud environment, utilizing a virtual instance of the software and bypassing the physical appliance.
Users interact with the Platform via an intuitive web-based UI. This centralized dashboard allows administrators and operators to easily initiate transfers, manage, monitor, and configure the system.
Launching a New Transfer couldn’t be easier! The user can define the exact parameters of the operation, specifying the Source and Destination paths, etc.
Key information can be viewed once a Job is completed, including how many files were transferred, the time it took, the throughput, and the optimization savings.
Bandwidth throttling can be used to manage network usage for file transfers. Administrators can precisely configure or create new profiles by selecting the desired Read/Write bandwidth limits for every hour of the day, ensuring that transfer activity is automatically regulated to prevent network congestion during peak operational periods.

External Control and Automation
The Platform is complemented by a powerful RESTful API, crucial for achieving seamless integration and workflow automation. Instead of manual operation, the API allows third-party tools—such as Content Management Systems (CMS), workflow schedulers, or Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems—to programmatically drive PixMover. This enables automated submission of data migration tasks and deep integration into existing enterprise environments, ensuring PixMover operates as a cohesive, automated component of the larger data ecosystem.
